Becoming
a Distinguished Fellow is an honor and represents excellence in leadership. NYCCAP/AACAP
Distinguished Fellows continuously perform beyond adequacy and at the level of
preeminence.
If
you would like to be considered for NYCCAP/AACAP Fellowship, you must submit a
complete nomination package to AACAP Member Services.
Distinguished Fellowship
Eligibility Requirements:
a)
Must
be board certified in child psychiatry.
b)
Must
be an AACAP general member for at least 5 consecutive years.
c)
Must
have made an outstanding and sustained contribution in any 3 of the 5 areas
noted below.
Distinguished
Fellowship Nomination Package Requirements:
1)
Current
copy of Curriculum Vitae.
2)
Copy
of Child Psychiatry board certificate.
3)
Three
recommendation letters written by AACAP Fellows.

Recommendations
must indicate nominee’s qualification in three or more of the following key
areas of excellence:
i. Scholarly
publications
ii. Outstanding
teaching
iii. Five years of
significant and continuing contribution to patient care
iv. Organizational or
social policy leadership at community, state, or national levels
v. Significant
contributions to the AACAP for at least five years (as recognized by Council)
in one or more of the following:

AACAP
Component
b.
AACAP
Assembly of Regional Organizations
c.
A
Regional Organization of the AACAP
